Guru Studio has signed a raft of new broadcast deals from its slate of originals shows, including Big Blue, Pikwik Pack and True and the Rainbow Kingdom.

New agreements are in place for the comedy adventure series Big Blue, including with RTVE Clan in Spain, EBS in South Korea, Canal Panda in Portugal and MBC in the Middle East. Since its world premiere on CBC Kids in Canada, Big Blue has been growing its audience on Nickelodeon in the U.K. and Cartoon Network in Africa.

The preschool hit True and the Rainbow Kingdom has landed further deals with EBS in South Korea and Cartoon Network in Turkey and the Philippines. Last month, on TinyPop in the U.K., True and the Rainbow Kingdom rated as a top five series for kids 4-plus.

Pikwik Pack landed recent deals with Tiny Pop in the U.K., Rai in Italy, TG4 in Ireland, Mediacorp Okto in Singapore, Yle in Finland, EBC YOYO in Taiwan, Globosat in Brazil, Canal Panda in Spain and Portugal, and OSN in the Middle East and Baltics.

Guru recently picked up international distribution rights to the animated adventure 123 Number Squad! from Omens Studios, which was commissioned by Singapore’s Mediacorp and is scheduled to launch on Sky Kids and NOW in the U.K. in early 2023.

“We’re seeing tremendous enthusiasm from broadcasters for our lineup of originals,” said Corey Caplan, senior director of international sales at Guru Studio. “With the addition of 123 Number Squad!, together with the continued strong performance of our shows around the world, we’re bringing a lot of exciting momentum to this year’s MIPCOM.”
