Studio Hari is producing a second installment of the animated series Grizzy and the Lemmings, which is slated to air on a number of channels around the globe in 2018.

France Télévisions ordered a 78×7-minute sophomore season of Grizzy and the Lemmings for France 3, where the show debuted a few months ago. The second installment was also presold to Turner for broadcast worldwide on Boomerang, where it premiered late last year, as well as to Télé-Québec in French-speaking Canada.

Tiphaine de Raguenel, the director of youth activities at France Télévisions, commented: “Grizzy and the Lemmings reinvents the codes of slapstick comedy and enchants our audience—young and older—since the beginning of the year. So it’s a real pleasure to cooperate with one of the most talented French animation studios to launch a second season. With its endearing heroes and its stunning graphic universe, season two will raise the excess of gags and madness even further.”

Cecilia Persson, the VP of programming and content strategy for Turner EMEA Kids, Acquisitions and Co-Productions International, said: “We got on board with Grizzy in the early stages of development and the result was a fantastic show, which matched perfectly with Boomerang’s DNA. We’re happy to be partnering with Studio Hari on season two and bringing Boomerang audiences across the globe more adventures and antics from these hilarious and lovable characters.”

Josselin Charier, Hari’s co-founder with Antoine Rodelet, noted: “We are thrilled to pursue the Grizzy and the Lemmings adventure with France Télévisions’ and Turner’s teams since they offer an amazing influence to our property, and we are very pleased that the series has quickly found its place among our partners’ programming schedules.”

Adeline Tormo, head of sales at Hari International, added: “From a commercial point of view, it’s an excellent signal that we send to the market. The production of new episodes reassures the broadcasters and helps to build and secure the brand. We will rely on this positive dynamic to work on the development of the L&M program to give a new dimension to the property.”
