Gigantosaurus Signs U.K. Licensing Partners

Cyber Group Studios and bRAND-WARD Services have inked deals with four new licensing partners in the U.K. for Gigantosaurus, including TDP/Aykroyds, which is set to develop nightwear and underwear based on the preschool show.

Additional deals were made with Roy Lowe & Sons, which will produce socks based on the series, and Character World for home textiles. PMS will also manufacture Gigantosaurus gift products for the amusement sector.

In addition to these partnerships and to the airing of the series on Tiny POP in 2020, a number of major licensees are already on board. The master toy partner Jakks Pacific will launch the toy range in 2020. Outright Games has recently revealed the release date of the first video game, Gigantosaurus: The Game, made for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC digital. Templar will also have 40 new TV tie-in books published over the next three years.

Gigantosaurus, the award-winning CGI comedy-action series that is produced by Cyber Group Studios, brings to life Jonny Duddle’s book, published by Templar and sold at 300,000 units in the U.K. alone. The series features four dinosaur friends—Rocky, Bill, Mazu and Tiny—who take preschoolers on exciting, comedy-filled adventures as they dare to be themselves and explore the world beyond their nests.

Trudi Hayward, co-founder of bRAND-WARD Services, said: “Gigantosaurus is a brand with great appeal built on a hugely successful book, which has inspired award-winning and top-rated content, widely available on many platforms, including pay TV, FTA, SVOD and digital media. Securing multiple platforms is a prerequisite nowadays if you want to achieve the necessary exposure.”

Bruno Danzel d’Aumont, international licensing and marketing VP at Cyber Group Studios, added: “bRand-Ward has a strong experience in the licensing business and brand development. I am highly confident that our partnership and joint effort will bring Gigantosaurus in the top licensing IP in the U.K., thanks to the high quality and richness of the content of the series and the network of partners and retail skills that bRand-Ward brings.”
