Falcon’s Beyond Taps Disney Alum as President

Falcon’s Beyond has appointed former Disney, Marvel and Moonbug Entertainment executive Simon Philips as president.

In the newly created position, Philips will oversee the future growth and expansion of entertainment-based business and development of the company’s IP, including building the infrastructure of new consumer products. He joins from Moonbug Entertainment, where he was managing director of global consumer products.

Philips’ new appointment at Falcon’s Beyond comes after serving as a senior advisor to its board since last year.

Earlier in his career, Philips served as president of Marvel Entertainment International and helped build it into an internationally renowned brand, paving the way for its sale to Disney. He then became executive VP and general manager of The Walt Disney Company for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
