Star Wars Resistance, a new animated adventure series that takes place before the events of The Force Awakens, is making its hour-long debut on Disney Channel in October.

Star Wars Resistance follows a young pilot who is recruited for a top-secret mission. The show includes the voices of Christopher Sean (Days of Our Lives), Suzie McGrath (EastEnders), Myrna Velasco (Elena of Avalor), Josh Brener (Silicon Valley), Oscar Isaac (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) and Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones). It will begin airing on Disney Channel in the U.S. on October 7, followed by a global rollout.

Lucasfilm Animation’s Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) is the creator of Star Wars Resistance. The show is being executive produced by Athena Portillo (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Justin Ridge (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) and Brandon Auman (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).
