Emmy-nominated producer Eric Friedman has signed an overall agreement to create and develop new projects exclusively for Disney Channel.
This deal builds upon Friedman’s decade-long partnership with the network, for which he has written or produced five comedy series. He most recently served as executive producer and showrunner of Bizaardvark. He also created and exec produced Disney XD’s Crash and Bernstein and wrote for Disney Channel’s Austin & Ally, Teamo Supremo and Disney XD’s I’m in the Band.
Nancy Kanter, the executive VP of content and creative strategy at Disney Channels Worldwide, and general manager of Disney Junior Worldwide, commented: “We’ve been lucky enough to have watched Eric grow as a writer and producer over a decade, consistently delivering smart, funny shows for us. And now we couldn’t be more excited to have him continue to work his magic bringing more of what kids and families want—Disney-quality stories and characters that entertain and inspire.”
