Descendants 3 Delivers for Disney

The premiere of Descendants 3 on Disney Channel ranks as U.S. cable’s highest-rated telecast in over two years among kids 6 to 11 and tweens 9 to 14.

The broadcast garnered 8.43 million total viewers and grew 84 percent from DVR viewing over three days. Not since the premiere of Descendants 2 (July 21, 2017) has U.S. cable seen such strong ratings among youth demographics, nor has the DVR viewing surged as much across the board in three days.

The August 2 airing ranked number one for the day in every demographic measured by Disney Channel. The movie delivered 2.7 million kids 6 to 11, 2.5 million tweens 9 to 14, 1.9 million girls 6 to 11 and 1.8 million girls 9 to 14.

In the DisneyNOW app, Descendants 3 is the highest viewed Disney Channel Original Movie in a single day.
