DeAPlaneta to Manage Grendizer Licensing Rights

DeAPlaneta Entertainment has signed a deal to manage the licensing rights for Grendizer (known as Goldrake in Italy and Goldorak in France) in Spain, Latin America, North America, Greece, Italy, CIS and German-, French- and Portuguese-speaking territories.

DeAPlaneta will handle the broadcast of Grendizer U in Spain, LatAm, North America and CIS, as well as in Portuguese-speaking countries and Greece. It will coordinate merchandising licenses from a list of 118 products in these territories, as well as in German- and French-speaking countries and Italy.

The agreement has been reached in partnership with Mangouste Anim, marking the first collaboration between the two.

Grendizer was created by Go Nagai in 1975 as part of the Mazinger Z universe. It is one of the series that introduced Western audiences to Japanese anime.
