Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Racks Up New Licensing Deals

Fred Rogers Productions and 9 Story Brands have expanded the licensing program for the Emmy-winning PBS Kids preschool series Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood.

New licensed products from master publishing partner Simon & Schuster, as well as Colorforms, Topix Media Lab, ASO and Kurt Adler, will begin arriving at retail stores nationwide this summer and later this fall. A host of book titles are headed to retail this summer from Simon & Schuster, including The Helpers in Your Neighborhood, a deluxe storybook about Daniel leaving his neighborhood for the first time, and Daniel’s Potty Time.

Other titles slated for a summer release include Mama Travels for Work, Daniel Gets His Hair Cut and Daniel Goes to the Dentist, as well as the board book Friends Ask First, which teaches kids about sharing. Coming this fall from Simon & Schuster are Daniel’s Ugga Mugga box set and Calm at the Restaurant, an 8×8 book with a tic-tac-toe game board and pieces.

To celebrate the holiday season, Simon & Schuster will release the board book A Very Merry Day in the Neighborhood, while Cottage Door Press will introduce the sound book Snowflake Songs, and Topix Media Lab will release Let’s Play Together, a paperback featuring activities originally developed for Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.

In addition, new Colorforms offerings from Kahootz Toys headed to retail this fall include a variety of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood-themed creative products, including the Daniel Tiger Dress Up Play Set, Daniel Tiger Beach Vacation Take-Along Set, Daniel Tiger Foam Bath Time Set and Daniel Tiger Fuzzy Felt Costume Closet Set, all with re-stickable pieces and a fold-out scene.

On the way to Target stores nationwide this fall are Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood bandages from ASO. The new item will be available in Target’s Bullseye’s playground area. On the way in 2020 will be a new line of Daniel Tiger Christmas ornaments and stockings from Kurt Adler.
