France’s Dandelooo has secured a trio of sales for its new 2D animated series Stinky Dog, based on the books written by Colas Gutman.

On board to give Stinky Dog a new home are the Chinese digital distribution and IP management company Jesten Huashi, the Spanish children’s pay-TV channel Canal Panda and the Danish pubcaster DR TV. The slapstick series targets 6- to 10-year-olds and follows the comical and hectic adventures of a maverick mutt, Stinky Dog, and his flattened best friend Flatty Cat, a couple of oddballs who live in a garbage can.

The series is co-produced by Dandelooo, Folivari, France (Didier & Damien Brunner), the Belgian production company Panique! (Patar & Aubier) and the Catalan animation studio Pikkukala (Pablo Jordi).

Joint founders of Dandelooo, Jean Baptiste Wéry and Emmanuèle Petry, commented, “We are thrilled that Stinky Dog has found a home in China, Spain and Denmark after its exclusive worldwide premiere at MIPJunior last year. We very much look forward to introducing more young audiences to this charming and captivating series and to Stinky Dog and Flatty Cat’s hilarious escapades.”
