Toon2Tango has appointed Cookbook Media as the exclusive North American distributor for its original series Hey Fuzzy Yellow.

The animated series for kids ages 3 to 5 supports early education concepts by focusing on thinking and self-expression through exploration and play. It is now in production, with the first 24 episodes set for 2024 and the full series to be delivered in 2025.

The format of Hey Fuzzy Yellow is purposely created to offer stand-alone shorts suitable for multiple programming opportunities, from music videos and interactive play to story times and absurd comedy skits.

Hey Fuzzy Yellow was created and developed by Måns Swanberg and Toon2Tango and commissioned by the Irish public broadcaster RTÉ. It is a co-production between Toon2Tango, Curiosity Ink Media, Treehouse Republic and Hotel Hungaria Animation. It was specially selected for funding by Creative Europe and Screen Ireland. The series has already been acquired by Warner Bros. Discovery in Latin America.

Claudia Scott-Hansen, co-founder of Cookbook Media, will spearhead efforts to build broadcast partnerships in North America for the show.

“With Hey Fuzzy Yellow, we at Toon2Tango wanted to make something new, something different and a little bit crazy in the best way,” said Jo Daris, CCO of Toon2Tango. “Claudia understood the concept of our unique show immediately, and we were thrilled to bring her on board as a strategic distribution partner. We’ve had some great successes to date and are excited to work with her to build the brand in North America.”
