Per an agreement with Viacom International Studios (VIS) Americas, TV Azteca is set to air the musical series Club 57 beginning next month.

The series, which will bow on Azteca 7 in July, is a co-production between VIS and Rainbow Group, and is currently being broadcast in LatAm on Nickelodeon and in Italy on the Rai network. Club 57 features an international cast and follows the adventures of Eva (Venezuela’s Evaluna Montaner) and her brother Rubén (Colombia’s Sebastián Silva), who are accidentally transported to 1957.

The two do everything in their power to return home, until Eva falls in love with JJ (Italy’s Riccardo Frascari) and decides to stay in the past, triggering a butterfly effect that changes their lives for the worse. The series also stars Martin Barba (Mexico), Isabella Castillo (Cuba), Ángela Rincón (Venezuela), Carolina Mestrovic (Chile) and Andrés Mercado (Colombia), among others.

The series features a soundtrack composed and produced by Grammy-nominated singer-songwriters Ricardo Montaner and Mau y Ricky, as well as Colombian musician Camilo Echeverry. The show was created by screenwriter Catharina Ledoboer, who wrote Every Witch Way, WITS Academy and Talia in the Kitchen for Nickelodeon in the U.S. and three seasons of Grachi for Nickelodeon in LatAm.

“We are pleased to seal a new agreement with TV Azteca, this time with Club 57, a high-quality youth content that we are sure will be a success in Mexico thanks to the power and amplification that TV Azteca can offer,” said Guillermo Borenzstein, VP of sales and co-productions for Viacom International Studios.
