Cisneros Kids has teamed with Mexican toy brand Distroller to develop, produce and distribute two IPs from Distroller’s toy lines.

Nerlies: Space Babies, inspired by the Ksi-meritos toys, follows the adventures of a quirky and shy 7-year-old girl whose life takes a turn when she becomes responsible for the care and feeding of three mischievous space babies.

Cisneros Media and Toonz Media Group are set to co-produce and jointly distribute the new series, which is scheduled for release in 2026.

Certified as a European Union production, Cisneros Media Distribution will exclusively handle media content distribution rights in LatAm and North America, while Toonz will oversee distribution rights for the rest of the world.

P Jayakumar, CEO of Toonz Media Group, stated: “We are thrilled to partner with Cisneros Media for this promising IP. We are confident that the combination of a global digital strategy and an animated series will lead to the success of this venture. Our shared goal is to create enduring franchises that inspire and uplift children.”

Jonathan Blum, president of Cisneros Media, added: “We are ecstatic to embark on this new journey alongside Toonz. Leveraging our extensive experience in the preschool content space with Toonz’s innovative vision and track record, we aim to build a remarkable global franchise.”

The second show, from the Chamoy y Amiguis toys, is Chamoy & Besties, following four girls’ friendship and adventures.

Ailing Zubizarreta, VP of Cisneros Kids, said: “We are elated to have the chance to collaborate with Distroller, combining their unique joy saturated world with our deep storytelling expertise and innovative global vision.”

Hugo Plessy, CEO of Distroller, added, “The collaboration with Cisneros introduces a fresh perspective to our business strategy, injecting enjoyment and vitality into a collective, long-term journey for new generations. It fulfills the dream of our founder, Amparin, by bringing our toys and stories to life.”

“As children’s content evolves, we are staying at the forefront by partnering with Distroller to meet kids wherever they are through dynamic storytelling,” added Blum. “Together we will create an epic global franchise and everlasting media brand.”
