CBeebies Preps Return of Jamillah and Aladdin

LONDON: The second season of the magic-themed drama series Jamillah and Aladdin is slated to begin airing on CBeebies this summer.

Jamillah and Aladdin is a modern retelling of the Middle Eastern Aladdin tale. The show, which is produced by Kindle Entertainment, stars Blossom Campbell as Jamillah, Wilson Radjou-Pujalte as Aladdin and Leroy Osei-Bonsu as Genie. The 26×15-minute sophomore season is due to debut next month.

Osei-Bonsu commented: “I’m over the moon that the CBeebies audience gets to experience more of the trio’s friendship and adventures! The reception from the first series has been exceptional, so much so that I’m getting stopped by children on the streets asking for a photo with Genie! It’s a wonderful show to be a part of and I can’t wait for everyone to see [season] two!”
