CBC Kids Orders More Bestest Day Ever with My Best Friend!

CBC Kids has greenlit a second season of Lopii Productions’ live-action preschool series Bestest Day Ever with My Best Friend!

In each episode, host Lisette Xavier meets up with a young pet owner and their beloved animal to learn about their bond and give them a once-in-a-lifetime experience customized to their pet’s personality and their favorite things to do. Season two is scheduled to debut in winter 2025.

The new season will feature 20 seven-minute episodes. Lopii Productions is now casting kids for the new season, with production to commence in April 2024 in Toronto. Applications, open for children ages 5 to 12, are open until April 15.

“Bestest Day Ever with My Best Friend! shares the owners’ genuine love for their animals, and Lisette’s infectious energy, with families and young viewers across the country,” said Swin Chang, executive in charge of production and development at CBC Kids. “Working with our partners at Lopii Productions, we look forward to introducing audiences to a new group of friends in Season 2.”
