Casting Unveiled for Disney’s Big Hero 6 Series

BURBANK: Disney XD’s upcoming animated show Big Hero 6, based on the Oscar-winning film of the same name, will feature a combination of original and new voice cast members.

Reprising their roles are Maya Rudolph, Jamie Chung, Scott Adsit, Alan Tudyk, Ryan Potter, Genesis Rodriguez, David Shaughnessy and Stan Lee. New additions to the voice cast will include Khary Payton (The Lion Guard) and Brooks Wheelan (Saturday Night Live), among others. The series will pick up immediately after the events of the movie, which follows a teenage tech genius and his lovable robot as they form a superhero team with their friends.

The Big Hero 6 series is produced by Disney Television Animation. It is due to debut on Disney XD next year. Emmy winners Mark McCorkle, Bob Schooley and Nick Filippi (Kim Possible) are executive producing, with Filippi also serving as supervising director.
