Cartoon Saloon has signed deals with a slew of new licensees for its leading brands, including Puffin Rock.

To coincide with the upcoming theatrical feature Puffin Rock and the New Friends, based on the series Puffin Rock, Cartoon Saloon has inked licensing deals with eco-design manufacturer GreenRe for a line of sustainable stationery products; Snuggly Figs for a children’s clothing line made of bamboo; and Value Add Games for an educational board game.

The GreenRe products will be available across North America, the U.K., Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. The Snuggly Fig children’s clothing line will be distributed in North America, while the Value Add Games board game will be available for the European Union.

“With Puffin Rock and The New Friends, which just debuted at the Cannes Film Market with WestEnd Film, we are delighted to have signed our first licensing partners for apparel and products that will allow new and old fans alike to extend their engagement with the movie,” said Brian Tyrrell, general manager of Cartoon Saloon Brand Development. “As we head into Licensing Expo, we’re excited to have such high-quality partners on board across our brands, and we look forward to sharing further information there on our evergreen properties with our current and potential partners.”

For The Irish Folklore Trilogy, WolfWalkers, Song of the Sea and The Secret of Kells, Cartoon Saloon has signed GreenRe for sustainable stationery products. The company joins existing partners Little Brown Young Readers (graphic novels), Xist Publishing (beginner books, global), Pinfinity (AR enamel pin sets, global), Gallery Nucleus (pin sets) and Trends International (posters, North America).

Cartoon Saloon Brand Development will showcase its new brand, Silly Sundays, to potential partners in the toys, publishing, apparel and accessories categories at Licensing Expo. The new Silly Sundays preschool comedy series is set to deliver in late 2023 through 2024, with 78 7-minute episodes for broadcast on Cartoonito in the U.S., Latin America and EMEA.
