Cartoon Forum 2020 Spotlights New Kids’ Animation

At this year’s digital edition of Cartoon Forum, 80 animated TV series projects were presented from 22 European countries.

For a total budget of 327.2 million euros, the projects represent 445 hours of animation. The countries that brought the most projects to Cartoon Forum 2020 were France (31), Ireland (8), Denmark (6) and Spain (6). Participating in the event were 260 buyers, including Mattel TV, HBO Max, Adult Swim, Benshi, ITV, ABC, Pakapaka Channel and WildBrain, among others.

The ten projects that have received the most attention as of September 17 are The Upside Down River by Dandelooo (France), Monster in My Pocket by Cyber Group Studios (France), Gemma & the Defenders by Xilam Animation (France), Tiny Island by TeamTO (France), Hanna & Nana by JAM Media (Ireland), Hey Fuzzy Yellow by Toon2Tango (Germany), Goat Girl by Daily Madness Productions (Ireland), Wonder Waï by Ellipsanime Productions (France), Alex Player by Bee Prod (France)
and Mouse Ketti by Radar (Luxembourg).

The project info and the recorded pitches will remain available through October 15. Cartoon Forum 2021 will take place in Toulouse, France from September 20 to 23.
