Toon-A-Vision has licensed the animated series Doki from Portfolio Entertainment for its new channel in Canada.

The series centers on a curious 7-year-old dog named Doki and his five friends who travel the globe as the Worldwide Expedition Club. They explore distant lands and cultures while answering important questions for preschoolers.

Doki is now airing on Toon-A-Vision weekdays at 7 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Toon-A-Vision is a dedicated kids’ and family channel broadcasting nationally from Atlantic Canada. Its schedule has three branded programming blocks: The Lagoon (for ages 2 to 6), Eh-Vast (6 to 12) and T @ Night (14-plus).

“We are excited and very proud to bring Doki and his adventurous Worldwide Expedition to the channel,” said Adam Mimnagh, president of Toon-A-Vision. “The series fits right into our preschool schedule targeting 2- to 6-year-olds.”

“In a market where other slates are full, and audiences are hungry for new content, Toon-A-Vision will deliver a schedule of new shows from Canadian and global producers,” added Mimnagh.
