CAKE Notches Up Asia Deals

CAKE has licensed more than 750 episodes of content from across its slate to broadcasters and platforms in Asia.

The deals, announced as Asia TV Forum kicks off in Singapore, include a pact with Uyoung for the long-form series and shorts of Lucas The Spider.

CAKE is also partnering in China with SVOD platform Hunan Mango TV on the second season of Mush-Mush & The Mushables.

Meanwhile, True Corp in Thailand opted for 275 episodes of content, including Dodo, Space Chickens in Space, Super Sema, Tish Tash, Bot and The Beasties and Will Sliney’s Draw With Will. That show was also acquired by RTV Indonesia alongside Will Sliney’s Storytellers.

In Hong Kong, CAKE licensed several shows to PCCW. Angry Birds Summer Madness, 43 compilation episodes of Angry Birds non-dialogue content and Aesop’s Theatre will be available on free TV while Pablo will be available on PCCW’s VOD service.

CAKE also closed a deal with Sony in India for Oscar’s Oasis.
