The second season of Bluey Book Reads, a digital series from BBC Studios Digital Brands, BBC Studios Kids & Family and Ludo Studio, has debuted on the official Bluey YouTube channel and website.
The 12 new episodes again bring to life the Bluey storybooks published by Penguin Random House. This season sees Elmo and Cookie Monster (Sesame Street), Helena Bonham Carter (The Crown), Rose Byrne (Bridesmaids), Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings), Michael Sheen (Good Omens) and many more join as guests.
The first episode, which bowed on April 15, sees Elmo and Cookie Monster read What Games Should We Play?
New episodes will release every two weeks. The next episode, coming April 29, features Bonham Carter reading Queens. Also throughout the season, Byrne reads Baby Race, Wood narrates The Pool, Auli’i Cravalho (Moana) reads Shadowlands, and Sheen covers Road Trip. Other episodes feature Sophie Okonedo (The Secret Life of Bees) read Sleepytime, Kurt Fearnley read Camping, and Meg Washington (Bluey) read Bob Bilby.
Several episodes feature non-English-language readings as well. Diane Kruger (Troy) reads Camping and The Creek in German on the localized German Bluey YouTube channel, and Camille Cottin (House of Gucci) returns to read Camping for the French Bluey channel.
Bluey Book Reads combines off-screen narration from global talent with visuals from Bluey storybooks and live-action shots.
The original series is written and created by Joe Brumm and produced by Ludo Studio.
