Bluey’s Let’s Play Chef Collection Lands Multi-Territory Rollout

Vue Lumière has partnered with Piece of Magic Entertainment to release Bluey at the Cinema: Let’s Play Chef Collection in theaters across Spain, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Poland.

The hour-long program, curated by BBC Studios and Ludo Studio, features eight fan-favorite episodes from Bluey with food at the center. It will release in cinemas in Spain on July 23, with further markets to follow.

The new release follows the U.K. and Ireland box office success of Bluey at the Cinema: Family Trip Collection and Let’s Play Chef Collection.

“Following outstanding box office success in the U.K. and Ireland—with over 400,000 admissions for the Family Trip Collection and Let’s Play Chef Collection—we’re thrilled to be expanding Bluey’s cinema adventures across Europe,” said Johnny Carr, head of event cinema and distribution at Vue Lumière. “We’re especially delighted to be partnering with Piece of Magic, whose local expertise and shared commitment to high-quality family entertainment make them the perfect collaborators for this next chapter. We’re also pleased to be strengthening our relationship with BBC Studios as we bring Bluey at the Cinema to new markets across the continent, continuing to deliver unmissable big-screen experiences for families with one of the world’s most cherished animated series.”

Caspar Nadaud, CEO and founder of Piece of Magic Entertainment, commented, “This release underscores Piece of Magic’s expansion into premium preschool cinema, following recent releases such as Peppa Meets the Baby in the Netherlands and upcoming releases such as Fireman Sam in France and Tummy Tom in Australia and New Zealand. There’s nothing more rewarding than working with preschool content, especially one as beloved as Bluey. Representing this phenomenal brand in partnership with Vue Lumière and BBC Studios is not only a privilege, but also a joy to share with my own 2-year-old daughter.”

“The Let’s Play Chef compilation was met with overwhelming enthusiasm from audiences across the U.K. and Ireland,” added Cecilia Persson, managing director of BBC Studios Kids & Family. “We can’t wait for more fans and families in Europe to experience the joy of seeing Bluey on the big screen this summer.”
