The BBC has revealed a range of new content geared toward teens that will be available as box sets on iPlayer, including the drama Logan High.

The improvised drama series Logan High looks on as Scottish high school students navigate the ups and downs of friendship fallouts, relationships, family issues, the stress of school and more. The multi-genre slate for teens 13 to 15 also features YouTube sensations Ali-A and Mimi Missfit.

Ali-A presents I’m Not Driving That, which sees young drivers who have just passed their driving tests have their cars revamped in a garage where celebrities drop in. Mimi Missfit hosts Mimi Tells It Straight: Everything You Need to Know About Sex, while Doctors Chris and Xand van Tulleken (Operation Ouch!) will front a series of special programs on mental health and alcohol for a teen audience. The shows include Boys to Men, The Great Eco Build and Life After Care.

The A List, meanwhile, explores universal issues teens are faced with, including loyalty, betrayal, friendship and romance. In Teen Taxi, teenagers and their parents have comical conversations with their parents as they travel in their family cars. The show has been commissioned for two seasons. True Believers (working title) is a comedy-drama about a boy band that is trying to make it big in the music industry.

Cheryl Taylor, the head of content for BBC Children’s, said, “We have been keen to produce bespoke shows for the 13 to 15 demographic for some time and the iPlayer affords us the opportunity to publish more ‘rites of passage’ content. These fresh and illuminating formats are aimed fair and square at fun-loving and curious teens across the U.K.”
