BBC Studios Sends More Series to Singapore

BBC Studios has inked a deal with Singapore’s Mediacorp to deliver over 150 hours of kids’ content on Okto on 5 and mewatch beginning October 1.

The lineup of programs coming to young Singaporean viewers includes seasons two and three of Hey Duggee, Andy’s Global Adventures, seasons two and three of Go Jetters, JoJo & Gran Gran, Sarah & Duck, Supertato, Yakka Dee and Nelly and Nora.

In Hey Duggee, a big dog runs a club for preschoolers that inspires children to have fun, be energetic and do things. Each episode begins with Duggee welcome the Squirrels, curious little characters dropped off by their parents, and leads them on adventures in which they solve problems by using their bodies to move, jump, run and skip. Duggee rewards them by giving them a Squirrel activity badge.

Andy’s Global Adventures sees the return of Andy’s Adventures character Andy, who is joined by tech wizard Jen and AI team member Scout. The three explore all seven continents and meet a range of wildlife along the way, from chameleons in Sri Lanka to emperor penguins in Antarctica.

Go Jetters follows international heroes Xuli, Kyan, Lars and Foz as they travel the world with their teacher, mentor and friend Ubercorn, a unicorn.

“We are thrilled to deepen our partnership with our valued long-time partner Mediacorp,” said Cheryl Png, VP of distribution for Southeast Asia, South Korea and Japan at BBC Studios. “Here in Singapore, BBC Studios’ children’s programming has always been loved by preschoolers and trusted by parents for its enriching blend of learning and play. Together with Mediacorp, we look forward to nurturing today’s young generation with our iconic shows that entertain, inform and inspire.”

Lee Hung Sheng, head of audience and partnerships at Mediacorp, added, “We are delighted to team up with BBC Studios once again to further grow our catalog of children’s programming and offer more wholesome and entertaining content to engage our young audiences. We hope that kids will enjoy watching and learning through shows such as Hey Duggee, Go Jetters and more on Mediacorp!”
