TVO in Canada is set to add a new range of Australian children’s series to its content catalog.

Among the titles joining TVOkids’ programming lineup is Create, which shows a pair of expert hands performing various arts and crafts, with tips for children to follow along at home. What’s for Dinner sees Australian families from diverse backgrounds each preparing a family dinner, giving children an opportunity to learn about different cultures and traditions. Lastly, there’s Pet Superstars, which explores the love between kids and their pets. The series will premiere on TVOkids later this year and will be available to stream in Canada at TVOkids.com and the TVOkids YouTube channel.

TVO is bringing the trio of ABC ME children’s series to Canada through an agreement with ABC Commercial.

Jessica Ellis, head of content sales and distribution at ABC Commercial, said: “ABC Commercial is excited to be working with the TVOkids team to bring these fun and imaginative children’s series to families in Ontario. ABC ME has had such great success with these programs locally in Australia and we’re certain they’ll be just as eagerly received in Canada.”

Marney Malabar, director of kids’ TV for TVO, added: “TVOkids is proud to present programming that helps young audiences to understand how children from around the world are just like their friends and neighbors here at home. It is fun series like these that help children to explore the importance of positive, loving relationships; the celebration of cultural differences; and the power of creativity and problem solving.”
