Veteran animation executive Trevor Bentley, who co-founded Atomic Cartoons, has established Toon City Vancouver, a new production studio in Canada.
Toon City Vancouver will specialize in providing both traditional and digital animation services while actively seeking co-production opportunities. It is launched as a partnership with Manila’s animation studio Toon City.
Bentley said: “Over the years, I’ve had nothing but admiration for the talented team at Toon City. The opportunity to build a pipeline that encompasses the deep talent pools in Vancouver and Manila and the immediate benefits for our clients made the decision automatic.”
Miguel del Rosario, CEO of Toon City, Philippines, added: “I have seen how Trevor developed and nurtured his former studio, Atomic Cartoons. We have worked with him as a service provider, and I only have admiration for his professionalism. Trevor is highly regarded in global animation, and I cannot be prouder of having him as our partner.
