MILAN: Atlantyca Entertainment has launched a new division dedicated to the planning, creation, production and development of live stage shows for the company's properties.

Atlantyca Live will be led by Rachele Geraci, who was recently promoted to the position of stage rights sales and development manager. The division will handle live shows for the Geronimo Stilton brand, including its spin-off series, as well as Bat Pat and Agatha Mystery. The first stage show will come to the U.S. on January 16 with the premiere of the Oregon Children’s Theatre’s Geronimo Stilton: Mouse in Space.

In her new role, Geraci will be responsible for all aspects of the new business unit. She will focus on all licensing initiatives for the live-show rights of Atlantyca-owned properties to third parties in order to develop new entertainment stage productions, including theater productions and shows at smaller venues such as malls, shopping centers and other dedicated children and family locations. Geraci will work with the various production teams on the concepts and creative development for all of the live shows.

“We established this new division to meet the growing demand we’ve received for bringing Geronimo Stilton to the stage,” said Claudia Mazzucco, the CEO of Atlantyca Entertainment. “The success of our shows throughout Europe, such as the Italian, Catalan, Spanish and Dutch version of Geronimo Stilton’s The Kingdom of Fantasy has garnered enormous attention throughout North America, so we wanted to be sure to cultivate and nurture these exciting new partnerships. In her previous position as licensing manager for Atlantyca Entertainment, Rachele Geraci played a substantial role in the global growth of the Geronimo Stilton brand and all our licensing initiatives. She was responsible for overseeing the development and launch of our stage show productions throughout Europe and Canada. Rachele is the perfect person to head this new venture for our company and will now be fully dedicated to overseeing the production and development of new stage productions worldwide.”

“Children’s-themed stage shows have grown to be quite popular,” noted Geraci. “We took a serious look at the amount of inquiries we were receiving and understood we needed to implement a division devoted to working on these new branded productions. I look forward to working on these new events and with the individual stage production teams to create a series of new stories that are live, full of music with all of the popular characters that children know and love. Stage shows are the newest entertainment destination for families everywhere, and we are so glad to be part it.”
