Apple TV+ Slates Goldie Debut

Apple TV+ has slated the debut of the Goldie series, inspired by Emily Brundige’s award-winning 2019 short film of the same name, for February 14.

The series follows the titular character, a giant girl with a big heart, as she goes on adventures with her best friends and learns that being different is something to celebrate.

The voice cast features Jessica McKenna (The Mighty Ones), Dee Bradley Baker (Phineas & Ferb), Amari McCoy (Spidey and His Amazing Friends), Vedanten Naidoo (Little Girl, Little Boy), Grey Delisle (The Fairly OddParents) and James Sie (Stillwater). Guest stars include Henry Winkler, Al Yankovic, Nicole Byer, Cree Summer, Carlos Alazraqui, Maulik Pancholy, Maria Bamford and more.

Goldie is created by Brundige (Hilda), who also serves as executive producer alongside Clint Eland (Hilda). Graham MacDonald (Mickey Mouse) directs, with Ben Greene (Hilda) as head writer. The series is produced by Mercury Filmworks.
