MELBOURNE: Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF) is producing Balloon Barnyard, a new animated preschool series, for Disney Channel Australia.

Balloon Barnyard follows the adventures of two heroic donkeys while teaching social and emotional skills to viewers between the ages of 2 and 4. The 26×7-minute show is being produced for Disney Channel Australia by Kristen Souvils and Nadine Bates for Like A Photon Creative. The series, which is being globally distributed by ACTF, is launching at MIPJunior and is slated for completion in December 2016.

Australia’s PlusTV took a package consisting of Ready for This, Worst Year of My Life, Again!, Bushwhacked!, My Place and You’re Skitting Me. Australia Plus will air the shows in more than 44 territories across the Asia Pacific and Indian subcontinent. And in Ireland, RTÉ signed on for the two new half-hour Little Lunch special episodes after having already snapped up season one.
