Acamar Films Preps New YouTube Channel

Acamar Films is preparing to launch Again! Again!, a new global YouTube channel built on public-service values, in March.

The channel will offer curated, high-quality children’s content that is gentle, purposeful and trusted by parents. Initially, Again! Again! will feature some of the top English-language animation and live-action programming, curated by the channel’s advisory board.

The advisoy board includes Michael Carrington, former controller of BBC Children’s, director of CBBC and director of programs at ABC Australia; Dr. Natascha Crandall, a child development expert, early-years educational specialist and advisor to over 40 award-winning children’s programs; Debbie Macdonald, award-winning children’s content producer, formerly at BBC and served as director of acquisitions for Nickelodeon UK; and Mikael Shields, CEO of Acamar Films and producer of Bing.

Content will be licensed on a non-exclusive basis and will earn income from a revenue-sharing model. Acamar is already in discussions with a number of producers to showcase their content and is calling for further submissions ahead of launch.

“We believe that Again! Again! will offer our audience something valuable,” Shields said. “It will also increase discoverability, engagement and revenue for producers. We’ve proven that gentle, well-written programming can thrive over the long term on YouTube. We’d like to partner with broadcasters, peer-producers and distributors. Let’s act together to build a new type of global public-service values channel.”

Alison Lomax, managing director of YouTube UK & Ireland, added, “We are delighted that Acamar Films has chosen YouTube as the home for their wonderful new children’s channel Again! Again! Acamar truly understands the vital importance of delivering high-quality programming underpinned by strong educational values—a mission that resonates deeply with parents and educators today. This channel is a fantastic addition to our platform, and we are thrilled to see them join our community of world-class children’s content creators.”
