TORONTO: Next month, Family Channel is set to premiere an all-new original series called Lost & Found Music Studios from the team behind The Next Step, Temple Street Productions and creator Frank van Keeken.

The drama, which follows a group of aspiring musicians taking part in a program run by a musician-turned-producer, will debut on January 8 at 6 p.m. Starting January 9, episodes will also be available weekly on Family OnDemand. Lost & Found Music Studios will showcase talented young Canadians as they perform everything from pop to R&B. Before the January premiere, Family Channel will offer a special presentation of the series on December 11 at 7:30 p.m., immediately following the season three finale of The Next Step.

Lost & Found Music Studios is produced by Temple Street Productions in association with Family Channel and is executive produced by van Keeken, Ivan Schneeberg and David Fortier (The Next Step, Orphan Black) and Laura Harbin (The Next Step, Wingin’ It). Lost & Found Music Studios is also produced with financial assistance from The Shaw Rocket Fund and the Canada Media Fund. Temple Street distributes the series internationally and has secured deals with CBBC and Netflix.
