Care Bears Lines Up First-Ever Playground in the U.S.

Care Bears is opening its first-ever playground next year in the U.S. to engage young kids away from the screen.

“Care-A-Lot has always lived in the hearts of fans, and launching this first immersive play area is a monumental moment for us,” said Robert Prinzo, head of global licensing at Cloudco Entertainment. “We’re beyond excited to create a place where young families can explore, imagine and share real-life Care Bears magic, something we hope to expand worldwide.”

The Care Bears Play Area will open in January 2026 at Barton Creek Square in Austin, Texas. Throughout the area, kids will be able to take a picture with Cheer Bear, play with Funshine Bear, weave through the belly badge Forest of Feelings, slide down the rainbow with Good Luck Bear, balance along the Starbuddies, climb through the dome of hearts and more.

The space is designed with caregivers in mind as well. It features comfortable lounge seating, mobile device charging stations and stroller-friendly access.
