Wonder Studios Unveils AI-Driven Maxi & Helium Adaptation

Wonder Studios has unveiled a ten-part adaptation of Camilla Brinck’s Maxi & Helium books, produced in just five months with the help of AI.

The project embodies Wonder’s “Pixar 2.0” strategy—using AI and advanced production technology to give creators global reach and ownership of their work. The series will debut on YouTube on December 10 and will be immediately available in English, German, Spanish and Swedish via the platform’s multi-language audio feature.

“Wonder is showing how AI is rewriting the ownership model for creatives—filmmakers are becoming founders, artists are becoming entrepreneurs,” said Justin Hackney, co-founder and chief creative director at Wonder Studios. “With Maxi & Helium, we’re turning a local success into a global phenomenon while keeping more ownership in the hands of the storytellers.”

“My vision has always been to share Maxi & Helium’s magic with as many children as possible,” Brinck said. “Thanks to our collaboration with Wonder, we can now bring this universe to life in ways that were once out of reach—still driven by real people and real storytelling, but now able to reach families everywhere faster than ever.”

“At its heart, Maxi & Helium is about two siblings discovering their courage and creativity, themes that resonate across every culture,” Hackney added. “While offering a blueprint for how local stories can become globally loved, our ultimate aim is to help children learn essential life lessons through a story they’ll cherish.”
