That Animation Company Teams for Digital-First Series

That Animation Company has teamed up with Avery and Masa Media and showrunner Atul Rao to develop an original digital-first animated series.

The series, targeting ages 4 to 7, will bring the Avery and Masa brand to life in a fresh, story-driven way. It will be designed to allow audiences to discover and connect with stories across streaming, social and other emerging platforms.

“We’re thrilled to be producing this 3D series alongside such visionary partners,” said Steve Cooke, creative director at That Animation Company. “It’s an incredible opportunity to showcase the best of Nova Scotia’s animation talent and bring world-class storytelling to life right here at home.”

“At Avery and Masa Media, we’ve always believed that great stories move people, and brands are no exception,” said Mike Deeney, co-founder of Avery and Masa Media. “Animation gives us the chance to show the heart and personality behind our brand in a way that feels alive, modern and deeply human.”

“Bringing Avery and Masa to the screen has been a personal mission,” commented Streeter Lecka, co-founder, owner and executive producer of Avery and Masa. “This project is a culmination of years of belief in these characters and the families they reach. This is what Avery and Masa were born to be.”

“I’m proud to back a creative team this talented and that will bring our characters into homes around the world in living color,” Lecka added.

“This is the kind of project every creative professional dreams about,” Rao said. “It’s rare to see a brand step into the animation space with clear appeal based on meaningful storytelling. This is where the magic happens.”
