Disney+ Launches New EMEA Campaign

Disney+ has unveiled a new campaign in EMEA, titled A Lifetime of Great Stories, anchored by a film celebrating Disney’s heritage of storytelling.

“This campaign celebrates Disney’s century-long legacy of storytelling mastery and how Disney+ is evolving that legacy to continue to inspire audiences of every generation,” said Emma Quartly, VP of marketing at Disney+ for EMEA. “A Lifetime of Great Stories is a heartfelt tribute to the stories that shape who we are and how we see the world. We hope it reminds our customers to revel in the joy of their favorite stories and to seek out the new ones that will become intertwined with their own life stories.”

The campaign is created with the creative agency of record VCCP. At the heart of the initiative is a 60-minute film directed by Frédéric Planchon through production company Academy Films, supported by VCCP’s content studio Girl&Bear. The film tells the story of a little girl who discovers her love for “Mickey Mouse at Christmas.” It follows as she grows up, showing key moments of her life with Disney+ stories by her side at every turn, from watching Home Alone as a child to Modern Family keeping her company at university to watching The Bear while commuting to work as an adult. Eventually, it comes full circle—as a mother herself, she watches as her own daughter falls under the same spell of Mickey and his friends.

“We all grew up falling in love with one of the Disney characters—and whichever one it was, they stay with us through our lives… a Little Mermaid T-shirt, a Mickey Mouse mug, every household has them,” said Darren Bailes, chief creative officer at VCCP. “And each one is a reminder that Disney+ brings us incredible storytelling at every stage of life, from the classics we grew up with to new favorites like Shōgun. Truly a lifetime of great stories.”
