Disney+ Slates Percy Jackson and the Olympians S2

Percy Jackson and the Olympians is set to return with its second season, based on Rick Riordan’s The Sea of Monsters, on December 10 on Disney+.

Created by Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg, the second season sees Camp Half-Blood’s protective border breached, leading demigod Percy Jackson on an odyssey into the Sea of Monsters in search of his missing best friend and an object that may save the camp.

Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries and Aryan Simhadri reprise their leading roles. The season two cast also features Charlie Bushnell, Dior Goodjohn, Daniel Diemer, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jason Mantzoukas, Glynn Turman, Timothy Simons, Virginia Kull, Courtney B. Vance, Andra Day, Adam Copeland, Sandra Bernhard, Margaret Cho, Kristen Schaal, Tamara Smart, Rosemarie DeWitt and Toby Stephens, among others.

Season two is executive produced by Steinberg, Dan Shotz, Rick Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, Craig Silverstein, The Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Bert Salke, The Gotham Group’s Jeremy Bell, D.J. Goldberg, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Albert Kim, Jason Ensler and Sarah Watson.

All episodes of season one are on Disney+. Season three of Percy Jackson and the Olympians is now in production in Vancouver.
