Hasbro Entertainment Expands Animated Content Strategy in Malaysia

Hasbro Entertainment has expanded its global animated kids’ content strategy with a multiyear partnership with Malaysia’s National Film Development Corporation (FINAS).

The agreement will see upcoming animated kids’ content projects produced in partnership with local studios Lil Critter Workshop and Omens Studios. Hasbro Entertainment is already developing multiple new animated series projects across its portfolio of brands for digital, SVOD and broadcast platforms worldwide as part of the initiative.

The partnership will generate opportunities for the Malaysian creative industry, supporting hundreds of local jobs and advancing skills development across the animation sector. Lil Critter Workshop and Omens Studios will collaborate with other Malaysian partners to deliver projects, creating an even wider boost to the local animation ecosystem.

“Expanding our kids’ series animation production footprint is central to Hasbro’s long-term strategy to deliver world-class storytelling across platforms,” said Kim Boyd, president of licensing and entertainment at Hasbro. “Malaysia’s supportive production environment and highly skilled creative community make it an ideal partner for this next chapter of our global animation strategy.”
