Sky Kids Acquires Sam and Julia

ZDF Studios has sold Sam and Julia to Sky in the U.K., with the series to premiere on Sky Kids and NOW later this year.

With this sale, the children’s series is now available in 100 countries across Europe, North America, Africa and Asia on a wide range of international broadcasters and streamers.

Based on the books by Dutch author Karina Schaapman, Sam and Julia follows the she-mouse Julia and he-mouse Sam. When Julia moves from a distant island into the residential Mouse Mansion, she feels like a stranger. Sam welcomes Julia and helps her get used to her new life.

“Sam and Julia hits all the right notes with preschoolers and their parents,” said Arne Lohmann, VP Junior at ZDF Studios. “It’s entertainment with strong values that promote creativity, sustainability and kindness. I’m delighted that now even more children around the globe will have access to this captivating series.”
