Guru Studio Hires VP of Production

Guru Studio has tapped Laura Dundas, who has held roles at ReDefine, Spin Master and Brown Bag Films, as VP of production.

An Emmy-nominated producer, Dundas brings over 20 years of animation production leadership to Guru, spanning both 2D and 3D animation in Canada, the U.S., Europe and Asia, with a successful track record managing multiple international co-productions. Based in Toronto, Dundas will be responsible for overseeing Guru’s productions, as well as fostering relationships with the studio’s growing number of production partners and new clients.

Dundas joins Guru Studio after serving as head of production for animation for North America at ReDefine (part of the DNEG Group), where she produced two SpongeBob movies for Nickelodeon. Prior to this, Dundas was a producer at Spin Master, contributing to hit titles such as PAW Patrol: The Movie. Before Spin Master, Dundas served as producer at Brown Bag Films on three seasons of Nature Cat.
