CAKE to Distribute Luce in the Lovely Land

CAKE has joined La Cabane and Thuristar for the international distribution of the new 2D animated series Luce in the Lovely Land.

The preschool program is the latest collaboration between CAKE, La Cabane and Thuristar, building on their Mush-Mush & the Mushables success. Luce in the Lovely Land is also developed in partnership with France Télévisions (France) and Ketnet (Belgium) with support from the MEDIA Creative Europe program, deAuteurs and the 2024 Hiroshima Artist in Residence.

Luce in the Lovely Land follows Luce, a curious and daring 6-year-old who opens her little bedroom window each morning to see what’s happening in the Lovely Land. Britt Raes writes and directs the series, which is based on her multi-award winning short film Luce and the Rock.

Perrine Gauthier, co-founder of La Cabane, partner at Thuristar and producer of the series, said, “I’ve worked with CAKE for a long time, and I know this unique and beautiful series will be in very good hands. Luce and the Rock’s adventures are all about opening up to others and looking at different perspectives, and this strong distribution team will open them up to the world!”

Edward Galton, CEO at CAKE, added, “We love working with the team at La Cabane and Thuristar. After our great experience on Mush-Mush, we’re excited to collaborate again on Luce in the Lovely Land. With its enchanting storytelling and vibrant visuals, we can’t wait to share this delightful series with audiences worldwide.”
