Cartoons on the Bay 2021 Pulcinella Awards Winners Revealed

The Pulcinella Awards winners of the 25th edition of Cartoons on the Bay have been revealed.

The win for Best Preschool TV Series went to Rai Ragazzi and Studio Bozzetto’s The Game Catchers, while Best Upper Preschool TV Series was awarded to Nina & Olga, from Rai Ragazzi, Enanimation and Mondo TV Producciones Canarias. Gigablaster, from Gloob, Copa Studio and Estricnina Desenhos Animados, won Best Kids TV Series.

Best Interactive Multimedia Work was given to Little Nightmares II from Tarsier Studios. Whatsanna, from KidsMe, won Best Live/Hybrid TV Series Award. Best TV Series Pilot Award went to AquaTeam—Sea Adventure, from Rai Radiotelevisione Italiana and GraFFiti Creative.

Best Short Film was awarded to Mila, from Rai Ragazzi, Pixel Cartoon, IbiscusMedia, Cinesite and Aniventure.

In the feature films section, Cartoon Saloon’s The WolfWalkers took Best Film and Al One’s Trash took Best Film Direction. Best Animation went to Absolute Denial, from Bridge Way Films and Absolute Denial Films, and Best Script went to Felix and the Treasure of Morgäa, from 10th Ave Productions. Yaya and Lennie—The Walking Liberty, from Mad Entertainment and Rai Cinema, was awarded Best Sound Track.

The UNICEF Award was given to the Swiss production Only A Child, from Amka Films Productions.
