Serious Lunch Adds Gigglebug to Catalog

Serious Lunch is now distributing Gigglebug, an original preschool property from Finland’s Gigglebug Entertainment (GBE).

Gigglebug comes from the idea that a cartoon character can induce spontaneous laughter. The animated show recently completed production on 52 episodes as well as a brand-new English version created by Milkshake! and a new non-dialogue version. The brand was previously represented internationally by WDR, which will continue to hold the distribution rights in Germany.

“Having signed a co-production deal with Gigglebug Entertainment last year for Best & Bester through my production company, Eye Present, it felt natural to take on Gigglebug not only because we fell in love with the hand-painted animation and infectious positivity, but also our wish to expand our relationship with GBE as a company,” said Genevieve Dexter, the CEO of Serious Lunch and Eye Present.
