Studio 100’s Maya the Bee Film Heads to Brazil

Brazilian distributor PlayArte Pictures has snapped up the rights for the new animated movie Maya the Bee—The Honey Games from Studio 100 Film.

The deal includes theatrical, home video and free-TV rights for the movie, which is produced by Studio 100 Media in association with Studio B Animation and Flying Bark Productions. Studio 100 Film is the international sales agency for the global rights.

Thorsten Wegener, the director of business operations at Studio 100 Film, said: “We are delighted about this first collaboration with PlayArte Pictures that brings Maya to Brazil, one of the key markets in South America. We are convinced that Maya with her curiosity and charisma will engage and delight audiences there as she has done so for many years all over the world.”
