Cracké Lands on Disney Channel in Japan

The 3D-animated comedy series Cracké, created and produced by Canada’s Squeeze, is premiering on Disney Channel in Japan this month.

Cracké centers on an anxious ostrich father who always seems to cause problems while trying to protect his brood of eight eggs. The show first began airing on Disney Channel in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa last summer. A second season is currently in development.

Cracké was produced in collaboration with Teletoon, the Canada Media Fund, the Quebec Refundable Tax Credit for Film and Television Production, the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit, the Bell Fund and the National Bank.

“It’s a real honor for us to realize that our creation will be shown in Japan, a country with such a great tradition of animation,” said Denis Doré, Squeeze’s president and co-founder. “The Japanese are huge animation fans and Disney is an iconic kids’ brand. This is a perfect match!”
