Imira Sends Larva to Disney XD in LatAm

Imira Entertainment has inked a deal with Disney XD in Latin America that will see the animated comedy series Larva airing on the pay-TV network throughout the region.

Larva follows the comical and chaotic adventures of two worm-like creatures. The agreement with Disney XD includes all four seasons of the Tuba Entertainment production. The show has been airing in more than 150 territories since 2012. There is also a feature-length movie in production for worldwide release in 2019.

Sergi Reitg, the CEO of Imira Entertainment, said: “Imira is proud to distribute Larva, a successful short-format series. After many years of representing Larva we have seen it grow and grow and now are delighted for this to be broadcast on Disney XD and are sure it will work very well for them.”

Tuba CEO Kwang-Yong Kim added: “Starting a partnership with The Walt Disney Company Latin America is one of the most valuable momentums for Larva in the region where [the show] has huge potential to be well accepted by a wide range of audiences.”
