Planeta Junior Taps France TV & Xilam Alum Erick Rouillé

BARCELONA: Planeta Junior has appointed Erick Rouillé, a former France Télévisions Distribution and Xilam exec, as country manager for France and international TV sales director.

In his new position, Rouillé is charged with developing the business and Planeta Junior’s strategy in the French market with such new series as Magiki and Pio Rocks! and representing Care Bears, Mia and me, Wissper and Tip the Mouse, among others. He will also oversee international TV sales for the company’s animated series. He will work under Diego Ibáñez Belaustegui, Planeta Junior’s international commercial director.

Rouillé has spent more than two decades in the animation and television sector, working in both consumer products and TV sales. He previously served as senior VP of sales at France Télévisions Distribution. Before that, he was executive VP of sales, TV and licensing at Xilam. Earlier in his career, Rouillé was employed by Planeta Junior in France as commercial director.
