Planeta Junior will be responsible for the brand development of Karma’s World, the upcoming series from Chris “Ludacris” Bridges and 9 Story Media Group, in Spain, Portugal and Italy.
The deal secured with 9 Story Brands will see Planeta Junior develop a local licensing program in apparel, accessories, back to school, health and beauty aids, role-play, arts and crafts and more.
Bridges created the concept for Karma’s World, which is inspired by his eldest daughter. The series is headed to Netflix this fall. Mattel is the toy partner, with products slated for rollout in 2022.
“We are very excited to join 9 Story and Karma’s World Entertainment on this amazing project,” said Antonella Ceraso, director of consumer products at Planeta Junior. “Kids are going to love Karma and will want to be part of her world. Music, dance and fashion, best-in-class producers, and great partners prove this show is going to be an astounding success.”
“We are thrilled to be working with Planeta Junior to bring Karma’s World from screen to shelf in Spain, Portugal and Italy,” added Kristin Lecour, co-VP of consumer products for 9 Story Brands. “Working with their best-in-class team to develop bespoke licensing, retail and marketing programs at a regional level will ensure the brand’s success in these important territories.”
