LONDON: The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has unveiled its first-ever BAFTA Kids Young Presenter Competition, which searches for a new host between the ages of 7 and 14.

The winner will have the chance to present BAFTA’s behind-the-scenes coverage at the British Academy Children’s Awards in London on November 20. To enter, children can submit a short video that shows them interviewing someone they would like to give an award to, such as a teacher, parent, sibling or friend. In the video, the presenter should introduce the recipient, ask them three questions and explain why they deserve the award.

The independent jury includes well-known children’s TV presenters. The deadline for entries is October 6; the winner will be notified on October 20. The prize includes travel and accommodation for the winner and one adult chaperone.

The BAFTA Kids Young Presenter Competition is part of the BAFTA Kids program, a year-round series of events for families across the U.K. that includes workshops, roadshows and master classes.
