9 Story’s Vince Commisso Signs on for TV Kids Festival

Vince Commisso, president and CEO of 9 Story Media Group, has joined the roster of speakers taking part in the TV Kids Festival, running from February 7 to 10, which is open for registration for free.

Commisso began his career in 1992 at Nelvana and went on to co-found 9 Story Media Group ten years later. Since then, 9 Story has produced thousands of episodes of kids’ programming, including Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Blue’s Clues and You!, Doc McStuffins, The Magic School Bus Rides Again and more. His company has won 18 Emmy Awards and scored two Oscar nominations. Commisso also serves on the board of the Canadian Association of Content Exporters (CACE).

He joins previously announced TV Kids Festival speakers WildBrain’s Eric Ellenbogen; Banijay Kids & Family’s Benoît Di Sabatino; Doc McStuffins’ Chris Nee; Star Trek: Prodigy’s Kevin and Dan Hageman; Emma Memma’s Emma Watkins; and First Day’s Julie Kalceff and Kirsty Stark. The TV Kids Festival will feature keynotes and panels with leading executives and creatives discussing the major trends in the children’s programming business. It will be streamed live and available on-demand on TVKidsFestival.com. Unlike other events requiring hefty registration fees, attendance to the TV Kids Festival is free. The inaugural festival attracted more than 1,700 participants.
