88 Pictures Opens International Office in Toronto

Indian animation studio 88 Pictures (Trollhunters trilogy, Fast & Furious Spy Racers, Gremlins) has opened its first international office, located in Toronto, Canada.

The company has selected Sabrina Riegel (Shrek, Madagascar, How to Train Your Dragon), Nol Meyer (Shrek, Madagascar, Megamind) and Jean Claude Nouchy (Spirit, Aquaman II) to spearhead the new office’s leadership team. Riegel is global head of look, Meyer is global head of previz and layout and Nouchy is digital FX supervisor.

With the new office in Toronto, 88 Pictures aims to forge new global partnerships and take on more international projects that will further push the boundaries of the animation services it provides, which includes concept creation, concept development, pre-visualization, animatic, 3D animation, visual effects, gaming, AR/VR and more.

“88 Pictures has worked on some of the most renowned animated projects and has established itself as a key player of the global animation industry in a short span of time,” said Milind D. Shinde, founder and CEO of 88 Pictures. “Our North American presence in Toronto, coupled with the addition of Sabrina, Nol and Jean Claude, will further strengthen our know-how of storytelling and enhance our creative excellence and technical prowess.”
